More than 55 lakh students will appear for the board exams

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, or UP Board, had set September 10 as the deadline for applications.

More than 55 lakh students have registered for the High School and Intermediate board exams. This includes 29,54,034 applicants for the 10th board exam and 25,49,827 for the 12th board exam.

In High School, there are 29,42,916 institutional students and 11,120 individual students. Meanwhile, in the 12th grade, the number of institutional students is 24,08,479, and individual students amount to 1,41,348. All these students are eagerly awaiting the announcement of their board exam dates in 2024.

There has been a decrease in the number of candidates

It is worth noting that this time there has been a significant reduction in the number of students appearing for the exams, which is nearly around three lakh. Last year, approximately 58,67,398 students registered for the UP Board exams.

It is believed that the strict measures by the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh have led to a decrease in the number of students participating in the state board exams.
