Realme GT 5 Pro Storage, Connectivity Revealed; Confirmed to Get Three Android Upgrades

Positioned as an extension of the Realme GT 5 series, the base model of which was introduced in August this year with two charging variants, the Pro model is anticipated to offer upgraded specifications. While the base model is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the Realme GT 5 Pro is confirmed to incorporate the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Realme has recently divulged additional specifications and color options for the GT 5 Pro through various Weibo posts. The smartphone will be available in two colors – Red Rock and Starry Night. It will run on Realme UI 5.0 and is guaranteed to receive three major Android upgrades, along with four years of security updates.

Further details include the revelation that the Realme GT 5 Pro will boast 1TB of onboard storage and feature USB Type-C 3.2 connectivity, delivering enhanced transfer speeds compared to previous models.

Notably, the device will come equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, alongside a powerful 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Realme claims that the 100W wired charging can take the handset from zero to 50 percent in a remarkable 12 minutes, providing up to 406 hours of standby time on a single charge.

Realme has also shared insights into the image quality of the Realme GT 5 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera, featuring a 50-megapixel 1/1.56 Sony IMX890 sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization, ensuring impressive image capture even in low-light conditions.

The device will sport a curved Pro-XDR AMOLED 8T LTPO display with outstanding specifications, including a peak manual brightness of 1,000 nits, a peak global brightness of 1,600 nits, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The display boasts a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a touch sampling rate of 2,160Hz, with TUV Rhineland global eye protection 3.0 certification ensuring user safety.
